Junior Roller Derby welcomes skaters 8 to 17 years old. A 12-week Learn To Skate program tailored to junior skaters is a modified low-contact version of modern flat track roller derby, emphasizing skills and strategy in a safe version of gameplay.
Referees and officials are essential to making our league work! We welcome new officials on and off skates. Everyone interested in refereeing is welcome in our Intro to Roller Derby program, where they will receive training on gameplay and rules.
Roller derby bouts and tournament only happen with the help of wonderful volunteers. We have many people off skates who help us make roller derby happen in Halifax.
